Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Aftermarket Business Manager to lead our automotive aftermarket business growth strategy in Japan. This role will focus on developing and executing strategic initiatives to expand Sika's market presence in the AGR (auto glass replacement) and CBR (crash body repair) segments, driving revenue growth and market share expansion.

Main function/responsibility/competencies

Strategic Planning & Business Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for auto glass replacement and crash body repair aftermarket segments
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive landscape, and customer needs
  • Create and execute business plans with clear KPIs, timelines, and revenue targets
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key distributors, installers, and service providers
  • Drive new product development initiatives aligned with market demands

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve annual sales revenue targets and market share objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts including auto glass shops, body repair centers, and distribution partners
  • Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability
  • Lead negotiations for major contracts and strategic partnerships
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when needed

Market Development & Customer Engagement

  • Identify and develop new customer segments within the aftermarket
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, technical seminars, and association events to promote
  • Prepare the training to customers and distribution partners with Technical Service team
  • Collaborate with technical service teams to ensure product solutions meet market requirements
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product development and improvement initiatives

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and technical support
  • Collaborate with global aftermarket teams to leverage best practices and resources
  • Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on promotional activities and brand positioning
  • Mentor and develop team members to build aftermarket expertise

Your expertise - Our strength

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience in a fragmented market (e.g., automotive aftermarket), requiring a proactive field sales approach
  • Strong interest in leadership with demonstrated potential. While direct management experience is not required, a solid track record of teamwork and collaboration is essential.
  • Experience with adhesives, sealants, or automotive chemicals is an asset (preferred, but not required).
  • Understanding of distribution channels in the Japanese automotive aftermarket.
  • Native level in Japanese. Business-level English is preferred, but intermediate proficiency with a strong motivation to improve is acceptable to handle cross-border　communication.

Applicants must have a valid work authorization in Japan. 

  • Occasional weekend work (around once or twice a month) may be required for exhibitions or related events.

  • This position requires business travel across Japan.
